Slim card holders and wallets, including pop-up designs, magnetic phone-mounted styles, and holders with a tracker slot.

Pop-Up or Plain Slots?

A card holder carries a few cards in less space than a traditional wallet. The first difference is how the cards come out. Pop-up designs use a thumb lever that fans the cards into a stack you can pick from, which is quick one-handed. Plain slot designs hold cards in fixed pockets and you slide them out yourself. Where the holder lives is the second difference. Some sit loose in a pocket, some attach magnetically to the back of a phone so you carry one object instead of two, and some fold out to prop the phone up. Extra features vary as well. A few include a slot for a Bluetooth tracker, and some list RFID blocking in the card slots. Format affects capacity. Slim single-piece holders stay thin and take a small number of cards, while bifold styles hold more and add room for folded cash. Before ordering, count the cards you actually carry, since slim holders have a set capacity and overfilling a pop-up mechanism stops it working properly.
